This event was a significant celebration of Filipino culture and artistry, drawing a vibrant crowd from the local Filipino community and beyond. The highlight of the evening was none other than the renowned Filipino singer-songwriter Mr. Rey Valera, who captivated the audience with his powerful performances and heartfelt renditions of his iconic songs. Among the favorites that resonated deeply with fans were timeless classics such as "Mr. DJ," "Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko," and "Pangako Sayo," each evoking nostalgia and a sense of pride in Filipino music. During the concert, Mr. Valera took the opportunity to share the story behind one of his most beloved songs, "Walang Kapalit." He revealed that this particular piece was inspired by his experiences and connections with the LGBTQ community, highlighting themes of love, acceptance, and the universal search for belonging.
